| You could argue that both Myler and Walker are front-foot players. A fully fit Walker gets the FB spot IMO.
The good thing there is that both Newman and Walker can break the line.
Potential reserves side:
Myler
Tindall, Edwards, Broadbent, Hall
Austin, Sinfield
Thompson, Dwyer, Wallace
Gannon, Donaldson
O’Connor
Johnson, Tom N-W, Spear, Mustapha
That’s actually not a terrible team.

| I’d definitely bring in an upgrade on T Briscoe. Then I’d use Briscoe as utility cover for centre and wing where he’d give us quality in depth. If we have ambitions of winning the title we need more strike outwide. Our pack is very nearly there. Upgrade that back line and we’ll go close imo

Interesting one isn't it and yes that's my gut feeling too unfortunately. Peter Smith has done an article today on what Agar may look to do and will have learnt from this year and he believes we need another prop and a big fast winger.. i just wonder if he has heard some things coming out of the club on these lines.

I'm not sure that we are struggling for cap space, I think the problem is available quality players. We only have one quota spot and I think we can be quite certain that whether a prop or winger that spot will be filled with a very good player. However, where do you recruit very good players in SL? Good ones are all contracted. I think it might pay to be patient and get one from the NRL, give our own youth a chance, and then make more decisive moves in the domestic transfer market for 2023.

| I still think Austin will end up at FB. A ball playing FB seems to suit Leeds' attacking structure more than a runner like Walking, and as Austin is a better player than Myler, I think he'll end up being first choice. I wouldn't be surprised if Walker was used as a back up and given the season to increase his physicality and his durability.

| The rumours on Kane Evans seem to be gaining traction. Probably means we are out of it most of the press seem to think it is between us and HFC
Didn't he pick up a 7 game ban at the end of the season, does that mean if he did sign that we wouldnt be available for the first 2 months?

From what i understand we don't have the money to sign anyone the ilk of Tapau or Simms. So we need to find another Kylie for a prop which is very very difficult. I think we may go UK for a prop forward and NRL for a back but what do i know..

I don't think we will have the space for a Tapau or a Simms, but that would be overkill in any case. As you say, we need another really solid player from the NRL. No more no less. It's the difficultly of finding such a beast in Superleague that is the challenge.

| Wow hope Sutcliffe and Walker don’t read the load of negative rubbish. Sutty played most of the season injured only training once a week before eventually breaking down so how does anyone expect him to have any pace! Walker has had bad luck with injuries but also played when not fit. I think the two of them deserve more for what they have done.
IMO one of our biggest problems is off field with a lack of strength and conditioning, if you train players to plod that is exactly what they will do!
I have been informed that the back room staff (what is left of them) are in for a major shakeup and a really significant head of Strength and Conditioning is hopefully about to join.
Good conditioning involving sprint work see a major upturn in both form and being free from a lot of the injuries we had this year.
Come on guys let’s be positive and stop slagging.

Agree, got a tough ask on their hands here Leeds but one that could turn us into real contenders if they get it right.
