So with the proposed signing of Miller does this mean Hooley will continue getting loaned out to Batley next year?
Having had a half decent game on Sunday why aren`t we persevering with him at FB with a view to taking over from Myler next year?
Or we might be looking at playing Miller at 6 next year perhaps?

Hooleys had a couple of good games but he's not of the level to move us forward as a starting FB nowhere near. He's like a younger myler at FB, not much speed or athleticism to speak of but can link the line and be steady, obviously without mylers years of game awareness.

Hooley looks a fair back up, which is what he was signed for I assume.

It's nice to finally have a solid rumour at least on signings

Hooley was never signed to be first choice FB in my opinion.

When Rohan Smith came to the club he said he was a bit shocked that the squad didn't have backup players that were around the early to mid twentys age range so we were relying on young kids if injuries hit - Hooley fits that bill perfectly.

If Millar signs I also think we'll see him at 6 at some point, would actually be nice to have some real pace in the halfbacks which we haven't had since McGuire in his prime.

On the positive side, although Miller (if signed) won't be cheap I doubt he is marquee. That means we likely have three marquee spots to fill, two non quota and one quota. If GH really wants to splash the cash we should see some significant upgrades.

other way around i think? only one marquee spot is reserved for home grown players only
