That isn't true, he wants to stay and fight for an NRL spot. But don't let it get in the way of your narrative.

Can’t see Bateman lasting much longer in NRL. Looked awful in a very poor team yesterday.
Swap for Bentley?

Bateman has looked physically shot all season at Wests. He's either carrying an injury or he's done for good.

So next year I reckon we need:
1x prop
1x back row (strike back rower not another Bentley)
2x halves
1x FB

I’m not sure how the heck we’ve managed to get into this position years into a “rebuild”. All the above need to be first grade starters / ideally some of the best in SL.

We are desperate for some real skill and quality in the links and more pace out the back.

It’s not all negative bc we do have a really good solid core of a team now, but we just have to do better with signings. I like Lisone, McDonnell and MacDonald so I’m hopeful Smith has an eye. I just want GH to give him the reins and let him build his own team.
