He`s Ali`s nephew and would certainly be a good addition to our squad along with Pele who might be going to Hull.
May would have been an ideal signing so I really do hope GH is about to impress us soon with the signings of Lewis and Croft plus 2 decent forwards.

Yeah Pele due to be coming to us as well, described on NRL360 this week as dynamite, so hopefully his potential can be realised with Hull. Happy with the Ese'ese deal too and rumoured to have secured either Shaun Blore from the Tigers or Alick from the Titans. Getting some much needed size to our pack

Alick was very good for PNG in the World Cup. And the png lads seem to go well over here. He looks very much the prototype modern 13. Also agree on Pele, if he puts it all together he’s a real handful.

I hope Leeds have some good business to announce, because any of those would be good use of quota. Can live with it if we’ve a couple of good halves to announce.

Really is getting to the point where it appears so. Almost all the top teams have announced, or have been very strongly linked with major signings. We appeared to have stalled. The clubs standing as a key player at the top end of the sport almost seems like it's on the line over this next couple of months. It seems ridiculous to say that, but evidence to the contrary is currently non existent. We've got to the stage where the next signing the club makes has to be a statement one. Anything less will be met with a chorus of jeers.

We might have made a play but maybe it was a play like Fitzgibbon or a play to keep Walters?

@leedsbarmyarmy I do hope you have the last laugh and we all look stupid. The odds aren't in your favour at the minute, sat in 8th, no halfbacks for next year and not connected with anyone of note.

To put a potential positive spin on the lack of news, it could be down to the fact that players we are after or have even signed are currently with clubs whose season isn't over....

I think this has to be the case.

HKR have signed Hiku to play fullback next season, and May to play in the halves when they already have Lewis, Milnes and Abdul for those positions.

I can't see how we would let someone like May go to a competitor, particuarly when they've got decent players in those positions, unless we already had someone lined up.
