We paid a fee thought to be around 150K to Cas for Gale, and supposedly 65k to Salford for Lui after the Hastings deal fell through. So a bit of a myth that we don't pay fees.

We just don't ask for a fee when we let a player go! Looking at the market cannot see where we get 2 quality halves without paying a transfer fee for at least one. There are not the players out there available off contract in those positions hence why Sezer has got a deal in the NRL.

Yep. What recent history shows is that we are prepared to pay a fee when desperate. We're certainly desperate now.

Yup, I doubt any club other than maybe Wigan has paid as much in transfer fees as Leeds have over the past 20 years. They've repeatedly shown they'll pay one when they want to get a particular player and there's zero indication that has changed or will change.

It’s probably his easiest route back into the NRL? Clubs were sniffing round him at end of his man of steel season. I was amazed Salford were able to keep hold of him and sign him up to a 30 year deal ( ) albeit with an NRL release/transfer clause.
IF he comes here (I too doubt it ) knowing us the first time an NRL team needs a HB, they come to us via his agent, he asks for a release…homesick…and GH will let him go for nothing and instead come up with a marketing sharing initiative with whichever club signs him
Jeez - only Leeds fans could possibly complain about the lack of transfer activity and simultaneously moan about us being linked with one of the most sought after half backs in the game!!!
