Anyone think Holgate would be a good shout and possibly Phillips on loan until the end of the season instead of Ounahi who has not performed at all this season at club level?

We need a midfielder who can cover across the midfield, either at 6, 8 or 10. Ounahi gives you that, he's also young and not particularly injury prone. Phillips doesn't suit the Red bull system, and has only gotten more injury prone in the last few years.
I'm not sure we'll sign Ounahi, but he's definitely the type of midfielder we need.

Based only on his World Cup form though where he played really well.
He`s been watched by Leeds for over a season and at that time we felt he was nowhere near good enough even for a team at the bottom of an inferior league than the PL.

He’d be significantly better than our other options there though imo but I get what you’re saying. World Cup could have given the lad a huge boost and he could really kick on.. you never know.

Interestingly did you see Orta in the 9ers shirt at Rutters signing? That’s a huge statement. David Ornstein believes take over progressing fast and Rutter signing is being paid for by 9ers

It`s all guesswork and many teams both in football and in rugby have watched a player and felt he would be a good fit and he turns out to be a poor signing.
The majority of Bielsa signings confirm this unfortunately.
I would prefer we get someone with PL experience especially in a key position.
The trouble is there`s not many options at the price we can afford hence our journey overseas to resolve the problem.
On another point has Harrison signed his contract with us yet or might he still be offloaded?

Yeah agree, it's high time we bought in proven prem quality. I think that may come when we have new owners with deeper pockets

I've always been a fan of Loftus-Cheek. Has the physicality for the PL and is good technically. I'd rather we went for someone like him than someone who hasn't been spoken about until a showing at the World Cup. We must be close to limit on overseas players too?
