If you were a potential player, after the public handling of all this (and I do mean the club not just Austin), would you be look at leeds and thinking 'yeah that's where I want to play'.

I`m not having a go here Chris.
But I do think the fans are right to be in meltdown.
We have been fed propaganda for far too many years now and each year is a new dawn or we are rebuilding and it will take time.
We have gone backwards as a club on the pitch and the common denominator is GH through the demise.
Even the beloved Kevin Sinfield said he wanted to go in a different direction to GH and therefore left the club.
GH has done a tremendous amount for the club but the last 6 or 7 years he has not delivered and someone new needs to replace him.
He can redeem himself by bringing in Lewis or Croft though

Of course fans are entitled to have a meltdown that’s part of being a fan going through the highs and lows.

I just don’t think that means the club is in meltdown, that’s a different thing.

Anyway I actually could se Smith leaving if he doesn’t get support he requests for the squad from GH, I’ll join the meltdown crew then

I agree with Seth that the biggest concern is the impact on the club reputation and the message that has been sent out to potential new players. Why would you choose Leeds over Saints Wigan and Catalan. RS could be trying to encourage a player to join Leeds but that player will be looking at the recent history and thinking how much say does the coach have in decision making?
We blamed Covid for lack of investment and the cost of the ground development. Let's not forget we borrowed the money to pay our owners company to carry out the work.
I would have more respect for GH if he comes out and speaks to Sky on Sunday outlining the club position.
Wilkin and Co will be drooling.

Rugby league is a pretty small community, most players know at least one person at every club, so I doubt it will make much difference
