He just doesn't look like a centre forward. He'll have a great career, but it's clear he should be playing as an inside forward on the right, so he can isolate defenders and cut inside. He'll go on loan to a championship team once this Rutter deal gets confirmed

It may be for the best as 5 minute cameos every now and again are not pushing him forward.

Actually forgot he was on the pitch yesterday for huge swathes of that game that's how poor / ineffective he was.

Sounds like Swansea are wanting to take him on loan and that would be a good move for all concerned especially if Rutter is on his way.
Pity they don`t want Llorente as well.

They've made so many signings that haven't worked out, a 20 year old striker with a poor goal scoring record for 30mil has some serious odds stacked against it working out.

like who? christiansen hasnt been great but the others have hit the ground running.
who had heard of yeboah, hasselbaink or even gnonto?
like every signing they need time.
on another note I wonder if Wober will sit next to Adam's with roca pushed on a bit

I'm more thinking last couple of years, llorente, Koch, firpo, James, christiansen, Rodrigos produced more lately but has been hit and miss. I know they're not all marsch signings but they've 5 months to stay up, proven goalscorer I'd have thought is the order at that price. Actually centre halves who can defend probably an even bigger priority.

To be fair, yeboah and hasselbaink had very good scoring records before arriving at leeds.

Scoring goals isn't really an issue, we're the 11th highest scorers in the league, but we average 2 goals conceded a game. That's the real issue, and it's an issue Marche has made no progress on fixing. A lot of it is individuals, but there's big systematic problems that need fixing also.

All that said looking at clips he doesn't seem to play as a central striker very often. Another winger.

Agreed. But I also think we’ve not been capable of holding the ball up when it gets to the strikers. I also think Rodrigo isn’t very good at pressing. Rutter is good at both and can play out wide. Hoffenhiem fans rave about him.

According to Yep (Graham Smyth) he thinks we may sign a midfielder too. Hopefully one that can put his foot on the ball and control play and keep the ball in the right areas. That will help us defensively too.

Marsch needs to get the team playing much better. He’s now made 7 signings and 4 of them have played in his systems for years. He needs to make it click very soon. Conceding 2 goals a game is very worrying

Yea, as soon as we lose the ball in attacking areas we're a couple of long balls away from being exposed, so having someone who can hold the ball or link up play will absolutely help, but we'll see. The next 6 games could decide Marche's fate. Villa (a), Brentford (h), Forest (a), MU (h), Everton (a), Southampton (h). Less than 5 points and Marche, could be gone. The club seem to be backing him, so I really hope he can get the team to kick on. A good run could bring us very close to safety.
