I think Phil is pretty balanced but Michael Normanton is waaaay too negative. He forgets we were sinking fast the last season under Bielsa.

Their opinions are in line with most of the fan base I encounter. This forum is the total opposite. If we lose to WH the knives will be out again.

That`s probably right as a fair few fans I have spoken to say it was great watching them play under Bielsa.
When pointing out that we were getting mullered and truly found out under him they still think we were good to watch.

lots of people I speak to still think marsch needs time. bielsa left the club in one almighty mess. almost as bad as when he took over. any rational fan knows you dont go from garbage to quality in one transfer window. sadly we dont have a lot of rational fans. they would have been happy to get relegated with bielsa in charge.
had we played, and beaten forest in our game in hand, the table would have looked exceedingly healthy.
bielsa is this supposed god who cannot be criticised by lots of of idiots. he was good but he was no howard Wilkinson who was miles better. a different level altogether

I agree with much of that. He definitely needs time. Orta gets a lot of stick (which I understand to a point) for not spending money wisely in the first 2 seasons, but I think Bielsa deserves more criticism than he gets for some of those signings. Say what you like about the board, but I think they've certainly backed the last 2 managers well

Forrest game getting cancelled was a huge blow, I remember saying at the time. They were in total disarray. Win that like Tad says, and the pressure would now be much much less.

there is a hangover from last year imo and it’s having multiple effects, confidence, anxiety, crowds losing patience etc etc. it’s difficult to shake off. Wins will do that. Marsch needs time, he also needs to get the players playing better and now he’s getting his own players in that he knows well hopefully that will klick. It certainly needs to otherwise he will have huge problems

the players brought in are a big cut above a lot of the players he inherited.
the championship players are holding us back imo.
2 transfer windows will make a big difference.

Yeah agree. That's why I was disappointed in the owners back end of the summer window, we needed a striker and a left back big time and they didn't deliver. The money was there (net spend £0 and decent offer made to Gakpo). We needed to improve the quality. I still think we lack quality in depth in midfield...
