| Quote krisleeds="krisleeds"Gagai has 22 games for QLD in SOO, bags of experient and Australia caps - and can play wing, centre and FB.
Any suggestions of anyone better and achievable?
Buderus was 32 when he came to us and that went OK.'"
People will moan whoever we sign, unless we sign current SOO players, which isn't going to happen.
Sign a player from Oz and they get labelled an NRL reject, sign a SL player and they're a cast off from a rival team that didn't want them, so obviously they're .

| Gagai is same age as Austin and younger than Richie Myler and would be quality in Superleague. Unless we sort out our attacking structure though we could sign Lattrell Mitchell and make him look ordinary!

| Gagai has also consistently been around high quality teams. While it’s hard for outside backs to lead maybe that comes into it?
Clune doesn’t strike me as an exciting signing. He could be someone to get us about the park but we’d probably need some pace at 6 and 1 to make it work.

| People are in cloud cuckoo land if they think signing then likes of Gagai on mega bucks will lead to success. We just need to keep building from the youth/what we have, then supplement with some younger hungry players, with something to prove…..

Which young players though? They don't seem that keen, do they? Most would rather hang on for a shot at the NRL. After all they have youth on their side. I have no idea if we have enquired about Gagai, but I do know he played Origin in 2022 and there was a stink when he wasn't selected this year. He is a player of exceptional quality and pedigree and to suggest that he wouldn't make a big difference seems ridiculous. Where abouts in Cloud Cuckoo Land do you live, Shabs - Segaryo Acres?

| As long as they aren't crocked and add to the team in the positions we need I don't care what their name is.
No one thinks we will be getting top draw NRL anymore. It will be the back ups or the old guard that come over.

He’s a year older than Hardacker, a player you constantly go on about

| Ok let me explain.
Gagai was world class at the Bunnies. Amazing finisher in a team that created exceptional lines, and had lethal left edge. Since he went to the Knights his form has dropped. A poor team, age all a factor. To move to SL would require marquee money, then people talk about playing him out of position.
Our team needs younger players who would be prepared to work together for 2-3 years to achieve something. Also need to be on good, but similar and sensible salaries. Nene and Mcdonnel to name 2’ are the right kind of signings.
Let Warrington sign the marquee Gagai’s as keeps fans happy for a while I guess. I remember when they signed Inglis. Think they thought were getting Maninga in his prime!

Shabs - Marquee wage in SL is over 150k. Minimum wage in the NRL is 100k. Virtually any experienced NRL player is going to be there of there abouts. We have two Marquee spots and we may as well use them on as good as player as we can get. Players like Gagai (he's also dynamite on the right edge) fit that description. If we can use other quota spots on young players with something to prove that would be great. It's a balance I know, but we could really do with somebody of his stature.

Ok fair play. Will keep fans happy at the very least. If genuinely wants to come over and perform am sure we’d be interested then…..
