It seems we don’t have the pulling power we did back then and aren’t willing to pay for the premium to sign the talent we want, what happens now?


Levi being ‘all but signed’ and then resigning to Canberra is unfortunate but that plus the austin stuff makes us look amateur, starting to get antsy about every other club doing good business whilst we sit around and watch. Even the leopards are making signings which are putting us to shame. Is GH past it?

The Levi "deal" wasn't ever announced by the club, iirc. It was all media led, happy to be corrected, but if correct then him resigning for Canberra doesn't mean he's given back word on signing for us. It's possible we made enquiries but he decided to stay put. As for other potential recruitment, I've not actually seen anything from the club that would indicate we've been after Player A but he's turned us down etc. That's not to say that hasn't happened, of course, but the corollary is that just because we haven't announced any signings doesn't actually mean there aren't any.

I can't see any outrage to be honest (let alone 'mass'), just people expressing concern re the lack of announcements against players leaving/very likely to be leaving and the key positions needed.

Good bit of mass exaggeration though

Don't think we can say that yet, but by the beginning of next season we will know one way or another. Rival clubs are clearly finding ways to get things done so no excuses really. Hopefully GH has something special up his famous sleeve.

Whilst my previous post made it very dramatic, I am just concerned we seem to have not made any moves bar goudamand, I also hope GH has an ace up his sleeve!

If we don’t announce any signings what will we do , I’ve been going for about 50 years , I’m not going to stop as I enjoy it.
It would be nice to announce new signings, but I think Rohan by and large is a good long term appointment and GH by and large has done a good job.
So we are stuck with them as much as they are stuck with me , and thankfully my email has changed and I don’t get emails from Gary saying be patient.
