I'm with shabs, for once. o'connor is an average hooker. he may improve with experience but you need quality at 9, the most important position on the pitch

See with that post you've moved from hyperbole to opinion, bravo. O'connor is very early in his development as a 9 and in his career only just turning 22, and considering the transformation has done remarkably well. Though I can see in some respect what you are saying I feel our immediate priorities lie elsewhere (given the uncertainty in the halves) and have confidence that O'connor and Johnson have a lot of development in them not least because of their attitude, O'connor especially.

We currently have two very good halves. However, they are neutralised a lot of then time by poor service and decision making from 9. Get that position sorted first, then everything will come from there….

We don't have any halves for next year as it stands. And youre bordering on hyperbole again calling our 6 and 7 combination very good.

O'Connor has done well given his age and lack of XP in that position.

A quality 9 would be fantastic with O'C as back up on the bench/back row cover.
However, as said above.. atm we have 0 HBs confirmed for next year, FB needs replacing and with Tet and Walters leaving we could probably use a good prop.
If Bentley leaves we might need to add that to the shopping list.

At that point it's too many to replace in one go and becomes another two year thing with even more replacements to find.

That's a big order for any team

Two fold, you want / need him to be learning from an experienced player.

What I wouldnt give for a Buderus / Diskin / Jimmy Lowes right now.
