| I know James isn't great, but I don't understand loaning him to one of our rivals. He's not first choice, but he would be one of the people you could look to fill a gap either from the bench or in the event of injuries.
I don't see why we'd thin out an already thin squad and strengthen a rival

| Well, Dieng failed his medical at Nice, but Nice have given another day to carry out further tests.
Leeds haven't signed at striker, but they have signed Wilf Gnotto (18 year old Italy International from the Swiss league). He's an attacking midfielder €4.5m looks a bargain, but you get the impression they did this deal to save face following Radz twitter cock up.

| everyone says he is a striker. while radz was a bit premature with his tweet imo leeds have had a brilliant transfer window. sold 2 players, one consistently injured, and brought in 7 players for a net spend of about £5m. all quality players, most current internationals

| I have no knowledge of Gnotto, but as an Italian international and only 18 seems a reasonable potential.

Agreed. Madness. an embarrassing end to the window. Gakpo deal was too late for PSV to get a replacement. Thank god for the World Cup, that will help hugely and get us through to Jan a lot easier, then they can rectify.
Like Gnotto from what i've seen. A bargain deal. Looks a rough diamond but looks to be full of potential. You don't get in that full Italian team easily.

| I'm actually looking forward to seeing Summerville get more game time, he isn't as experienced as DJ, but I think he offers more.
I always got the impression the board never really wanted DJ and that they felt the overpaid for him, so they took the first chance they got to get some of their money back.
Summerville replaces DJ, Gnotto replaces Summerville, so I don't think we're weaker for moving James on, but we'll see.

| James was a reasonably good Championship player that Bielsa loved and paid over the odds to MU when he became available.
He has maybe had 3 very good games for us since he arrived.
I`m not up on the deal but I thought he has gone out on loan with the option to buy.
But what if they turn down that option?
Presumably he comes back?
The Italian looks to have potential but so does Joseph, Perkins and Joffy.
We really needed another Bamford and my preferred choice was Diaz at Blackburn.

There were bids from other clubs, but not the much. We could have got a decent player for not much

| they wanted £20m for Diaz but with 1 year left on his contract nobody would take the gamble. it's a big jump, especially for a striker

| Sure I saw a comment from Leeds saying they'd looked at Diaz but didn't think he'd replicate his goal scoring in the PL. That's fine for me. Like a game of poker, you can't go in on every hand
