Lawrie was dreadful on Saturday. But so were most of the Wests team.
He's never a 6.
Maybe a decent FB.

Laurie is a FB/6

Those 2 cover decent positions and although maybe fringe NRL - just look at French & Field.

If you cant hold down a spot playing for Wests......

We still need a Centre to play with Newman (maybe that gun from Batley, Josh Hodson?) and a Prop to replace Tetevano.

The trouble is, Newman is yet to show he can play even half a season.. it constantly weakens the team.

If Fusitu'a extends I think centre is for 2025 recruitment. For the moment Martin can do a job and Simpson will be back in the reckoning. Newman is OOC at the end of next year. As it stands that will be a really tough decision.

Newman pretty much has to be close to ever present next year, otherwise I wouldn’t even consider extending further we cannot have yet another player who misses more than he plays.

Resigning Fusitua and Sezer is a mistake as they are both made out of biscuit while we can't compete with Warrington for bigger name players surely we can do better than those two or should we expect more Hooley/Olpherts types?
