All 3 have had their chance and found to be not good enough it's straight forward really.
Last night that team should'nt of lost 4-0 at Bury and every player will have to show better than that i've no doubt.
Again lets not get into this "believist" sh#te the players signed were/are better in their positions than the ones we had just because they didn't perform in a pre-season match doesn't make you right IF we start the season with the same team/squad and we are getting caned every week you will have a point until then

What was Grayson's response after the game? He wasn't very happy, mentioned the lack of quality in the squad. And when asked how many additional players do you need, tongue in cheek the answer was about 20.

Other than the goalkeeper none of the signings are an improvement on what we add. They are mearly an addition to the numbers thats all.

Although the team was abysmal last night lets break it down.
Schmeichel-better than Ankergren imo.
Connolly-better RB than Hughes and Bromby imo.
Bessone-better LB than Hughes,Johnson,Sheehan and Lowry(who admittedly didn't settle).
Colins-bettrer tha Lubo/Marques.
Sam-better and Fitter than Robinson and adds competition to that position.
Paynter-better than kandol and the departed Enoch.
Now i've admitted we still need reinforcements and quality at that but the new arrivals are clearly better than the ones they are intended to replace.

You have basically just compared to reserves, so are you admitting that these signings are nothing more than additional numbers rather than an improvement in quality?

Connolly is the equivalent of Crowe
Bessone - You or I know nothing about I guess. He was a bit part player and I doubt as good as Parker.
Collins - Not a bad player but better out there, and I doubt any better than Lubo
Sam - Absolute poop and not in same league as Robinson
Paynter - Beckford was the guy before. Paynter is a journeyman with one lucky season. Not in same league as Beckford.

Grayson seems pretty furious in todays YEP.

We are too light wieght in midfield. Howson isn't good enough for this division, and I'm not sure Johnson is either. We need people with experience at this level with a point to prove. Is Robbie Savage available?
