Maybe not an article with much credence, but if he's open to a move to SL, we should absolutely be in the driving seat.

I think in the off season, if we were to recruit him, Jai Whitbread and someone like Tyrone May who is off-contract at Catalan, it would make a massive difference.

Brooks looked distinctly average yesterday, missing tackles and did nothing all game.
On the other hand Shaun Johnson has only been offered a 1 year deal.
2 years in SL might tempt him.
Yes he`s past his best but a second rate Johnson will be a MOS contender here.
