Maybe they are planning for life in the Championship and £20 mil for Woods was too good an offer to turn down.

Makes no sense from either end.Burnely lose their main man, but Newcastle need to aim a bit higher. I don't see Wood turning their season around.

A friend of mine suggested £25m to sink one of your relegation rivals is a decent price, even if he just sits in the reserves

Bit harsh. I think if you was Burnley's centre forward and Newcastle came a-knocking you would head up North on the next tram.

It’ll be very difficult for Burnley to replace Wood at this stage of the season. It’s a big blow to them is this

Seems we are linked with several players both from the lower leagues here and abroad which is no surprise.
I would expect at least one player in during the International break otherwise its going to be mid Feb before they are "ready".
I understand what Bielsa is saying that they need to be better than what we currently have or offer as much.
But I think he`s missing the point that hose in the team currently do get injured/suspended and we need decent players to step in as cover.
Our injuries this year are unprecedented I know hence why in January we have a chance to get some bodies in even if it means spending 20-30 million on a couple of players.
We can always offload 2 or 3 of the current squad once we survive this year.

Fully agree mate. I was just saying to a mate today I'm frustrated we've not done good early business given how long Bielsa needs them to settle (Raphinha exception). Credit to teams like Villa, they go about their business quickly and very well. Always seem to be on the front foot.

I think the JKA saga is hitting Leeds in the pocket too at the wrong time.
