Why wasnt Leeds in for Trippier? £12m for an England international who wants to live in the North of England sounds like Leeds shouldve been all over him.

You have just conceeded 11 goals in 2 games. Right, Left and centre backs should absolutely all be a priorities if a quality player is available and Trippier is a good player in my opinion. £12m absolute steal with todays prices.

Goals aren't just conceded by the defence. It was clear before the season that our midfield didn't have enough quality and depth. Defence is fine when they aren't all injured and it's chopping and changing each game. There isn't a bottomless pot of money for the club, so they'll need to be smart with any purchases. We need players that can make an immediate impact

Agree with both. 12m is a very good deal for an England player. I think generally we are quite well stocked at the back.

I don't think it's the games where we conceded 3 or more goals that will cost us this year, it's the ones we lose instead of draw or draw instead of win because we don't show enough that worry me

Midfielders can help the defence and attack just watch Declan Rice in that 1st half. Outstanding, proper player. Best player on the pitch by a country mile. Breaking play up, keeping the ball and driving forward with ball.



Not sure how VAR allowed the goal looked a clear offside to me but no doubt West Ham deserve the lead.

Agree with all that but my issues with VAR is the same as in RL and that is that it takes so long and players are stood around. That goal must have taken 3 mins to decide and then he gets it wrong. One look, offside, get on with the game.

Good side today. Nice balance of youth and people only recently back from injury. Bigger targets for the season than a cup run. Decent performance but West ham are a decent team. Hope we can get something next week
