Sl should go on something like 3/4 year license cycles IMO. Don't match the criteria, you can't come up or if your in SL and don't match the criteria you're gone. Or it could be finish in the bottom 2 for those 3 years you're gone.

Straight one up one down every year is just pointless if we are serious about developing players and expanding or developing existing clubs.

What christopher said. Though at the very least 2nd bottom would be a team with say 3 years development in super league

Correct. There's just not the money in the game here for Promotion and Relegation to work. Its been in place for a long long time and it's not worked.

Get both Leigh and Fev in to SL with maybe another couple at best and keep the league like that for the next 5 years.
Sad for those outside the SL but revenue and crowds at those teams left behind are unlikely to change anytime soon.
Maybe look at Bradford although they have hardly ripped up any trees lately and possibly York or Halifax as the other 2 teams joining Fev/Leigh.

Interesting to see what IMG will introduce.. suspect they'll propose to scrap P & R straight away.

Fwiw I thought the million pound game was quite a spectacle!
Unfortunately relegation is part of most UK team sports.

The difference is that rugby league can't sustain it and it doesn't help to grow the game for a multitude of reasons. It doesn't matter what other sports do RL must do what best achieves it's growth.
