I'm hoping that with the run in we have over Christmas, we've written that game off in terms of prep. Two day turn around away at league leaders and no squad to rotate, they may well have just turned up and played, then look to put on a performance on Saturday. A bit optimistic I know.

Watching the goals, a mix of incredible goals, lucky goals and terrible defending. Not that I give it much credit but the expected goals ratio was apparently only 2. Don't know what to draw from that

I would trust Orta it`s Bielsa apparently who is turning his nose up at the players offered.
His track record of signings based on what Bielsa wanted is poor.
Harrison, Firpo, Costa, James, Koch and Rodrigo are championship standard.
Only Llorente and Raphina can be classed as PL standard.
It might be that Phillips has to go in order to buy the likes of a Gallagher, Barclay, Lingard type.
I would even go further and see how much we would get for Messlier and bring in Henderson.
Not sure the die hards would agree with that.

Championship standard? I know this season hasn't been great, but to say those players are only championship standard is ridiculous.

They certainly seem like bottom 3rd of the PL standard. It's been largely a credit to the players who got the team promoted that they've competed (last season) than the signings who on the whole have been disappointing relative to the money spent on them, Rodrigo especially.

Bielsa's insistance on signing 1 yr deals has to be a major issue. How can you attract players and build a team not knowing if the manager will be there in a few months time.

Its ridiculous. Players and clubs needs stability.

Once again we agree to disagree.
Maybe harsh but at best bottom 3 of the PL standard and that is being generous.
Which clubs do you think would sign those I`ve mentioned after this seasons performances Jack?
I know you rate Harrison and James but James did nothing at MU and has had maybe 1 or 2 good games for Leeds this season.
Harrison imo a complete waste of space who performs for maybe 5 or 6 games in a season.

You don't rate Harrison? You've never mentioned that before? What about Roberts or Bamford? Costa isn't here anymore, but what do you think of him? I don't think you've mentioned that in any of your posts in the last couple of years.

Criticism of the players' form and performance is fair enough, but to call them only championship standard is a huge exaggeration. Koch is a German international, Rodrigo is a Spanish international, was Spain's first choice striker when we signed him, and played 6 years in La Liga for one of the biggest clubs in Spain. Firpo has played in the Europa and Champions Leagues and was one of the best LBs in La Liga 2 years go. He was good enough for Barca to spend 40m on. James did ok at Man Utd, and he's done well on the few occasions he's actually played on the wing, and not up front

Jack are you suggesting that a Leeds Utd fan is going over the top with their opinion?

Geldhart has scored 2 career goals and was called a natural goalscorer last week. Phillips and Forshaw was equal to Phillips and Rice 2 weeks ago. Lol.

You will beat Arsenal this weekend and all the "Championship standard" players will be "Champions League" standard players. Up and down like a yo-yo that fanbase.

Having said that i wouldnt be claiming these German and Spaniards are good cos they are "internationals" they pick anyone in friendlies. Next time you are on the Costa Fortune every waiter and bar man will have played at least once for Spain. You are defending players that have just shamed our great city with a 7-0 loss.

City were red hot we were ice cold and that was the result. That same team played v well against Chelsea so can understand Bielsa sticking with same team. However what annoys me the most is the inability to change and sure it up.

Arsenal will be v tough again they were good last night v a good West Ham. I’m expecting a reaction from Leeds to say the least
