Another strange team selection with James as the 9 and Roberts as the 10 along with Harrison on the wing.
Personally I would have liked to see Roberts 9 Gelhardt 10 and James on the wing.
Trying to play to their strengths.
But what does Bielsa know.
I`m sure that selection will come good eventually.
Also need some of our players to keep their nose clean tonight.
At least if we are losing the fans can cause a riot and get the match abandoned.

Not surprising really. It's the equivalent of Cas playing the Roosters with half their main squad missing.

Shackleton injured and Firpo suspended for Arsenal as well.

Why insist in James as the 9 and Roberts MF?
Surely when Shackleton went off he should just move Ayling to RB and Cresswell centre half.
You would think putting players in their normal position would be an obvious solution instead of shuffling them round.
City were top class but we made it far too easy for them.

Some of the decision making is strange to say the least. Nobody would have handled Man City tonight and we’ve got to take it on the chin and carry on. Seen many a performance like that in our day with rhinos.

Meslier; Ayling, Cresswell, Llorente, Dallas; Forshaw; Harrison, Raphinha Roberts, James; Gelhardt. Possibly the best we’ve got for Saturday v Arsenal. Worrying if Roberts, Raphinha or Llorente get yellows mind as they’d then miss Liverpool game.

Agree with that mate.
City red hot tonight.
The worry is we don`t seem able to play plan B.
Not much point trying to attack when the midfield and defence is getting outplayed.
If James had to come off then play either Greenwood or Cresswell in midfield to shore that area up.

City are different gravy. Leeds need to sell Phillips and spend the money wisely on 3 players in Jan right thru the spine of the team. Man U are daft enough to offer £60m that could buy 3 x £20m footballers to improve your squad depth.

Question is do you trust Orta and Bielsa to spend that money wisely? I wouldnt.
