I’d extend Austin one year, and try and sign a half who ultimately will be around/be the experienced head as we bring Jack through and replace austin.

I wouldn’t extend both.

I think Austin will go home even if we offer him a deal.

Not convinced he will just yet. A lot have said his family has already gone but they are on holiday.

I wouldn’t retain Austin unless he has a blinder this year - we are too inconsistent and some of that flows from him.

He was the same at Wire.

I just think we need a better player although it will cost.

Was expecting more from an ex-NRL halves partnership have to be honest.

Then again service from 9 is still inconsistent too. Pack just needs tinkering for foreseeable but the spine is the next kink in the chain for me.

Can't imagine being able to replace both halves at the same time with the right quality next off season.

Ive dropped Wests an email to see informally if they would be interested in swapping Brooks for Sezer.

Ive highlighted that Uncle Gary is a bit tight so they may have to cover Brooks' wages for a bit.

Should we throw Fusitu'a into the deal too?

And tell them Donaldson is similar to Gaz Ellis as well.

Please, watch some of Brooks actually playing - and not his highlights reel - before wishing this. He's pretty much the worst halfback in the NRL right now. And before you say it, its not just because the rest of the team is awful, he's front and centre in their awfulness.
