James Donaldson not in the squad for this week. He won't have featured in the last 7 matches. Can't help but feel like an early release or loan deal is in the offing especially when you consider Walters and Gannon are likely ahead of him in the pecking order.

Same with props.its a long season.

If we can drop players after a few poor games or rest/ rotate throughout the season without dropping the quality too much that's a great position to be in

Not convinced by Walters personally. No faulting his effort but not many that shape can really run their weight. Bit like the vegan warrior before him.

It would be a shame, but he simply has not done enough when given plenty of chances. He had a good game at saints then went back into his shell, Holroyd and Mcdonnel have taken their chances this year and have arguably been our best 2 forwards. Walters may get an extended run at some point but has to nail down a place, even with Tetavano likely gone next year he’s still 5th choice prop and we have the likes of Field, Gibbons waiting in the wings and Gannon may end up at prop in 2-3 years. We signed him with Oconnor and walters was seen as the big signing, OConnor now first choice. He just hasn’t done enough.

He may go elsewhere and look great but cannot keep a player just on the off chance he comes good.

For me the proof is in the pudding no pun intended.
Tetavano blows hot and cold but has been given numerous chances whereas Walters has only had limited chances.
If Tetavano isn`t playing well then give Walters a couple or so games to see what he can do then decide if he`s worth keeping or not.
Tetavano on the money he is on is not worth keeping next year and the same might apply to Walters.
