I've always liked Tupou - good finisher, great in the air and makes big post-contact yards running the ball back. I'm not sure I'd want to spend a lot on a winger though, even if they are marquee.

Olpherts is highly regarded by Smith so can't see another winger being signed.

If proper outcasts like Field, Hastings and Dufty are pulling up trees, Wighton could play prop and still be MoS.
I think Tupou would be OK, but maybe not on a freezing Thursday night in Cas.
I don’t think winger is particularly a position to spend big on.
Tupou for sure is a good player, has played in some great teams but is another one of those who is never far from an error. I’d rather have less of those players, no matter how good they are.
I think we need to really focus on key positions and being in quality where we need it. The young players need inspirational seniors around them.
I still think 6, 7, 1 and possibly 9 but at least one high quality half and a FB. Handley is good cover at the back but for me he is a winger. Maybe McDonald is too but I think a real athlete FB with pace and a passing game would make a difference. be very interested to see who and where they sign for next year.
1 and 7 have to be the biggest replacements we look at. For 9 and wing or centre we need to see how O'Connor+CJ and Tindall do in those positions this year. If the home grown can cover those it makes recruitment much easier
