It's true though. Had Wigan not played as consistent during the 2012 season then Jack Murphy would've DEFINITELY caught that high bomb, FACT!

I enjoy rhinos fans (particularly the south leeds interlopers) defending the current play-off system, but I enjoy it even more when rhinos fans defend two 5th placed regular season finishes and a likely 4th placed finish this season. That takes some doing in a SL competition with no more than 3 or 4 teams that are able to provide credible opposition.

I keep forgetting that I'm not allowed to support Leeds because I come from a certain part of Leeds. Its a good job I have someone to remind me, a guy who lives in Leeds yet loves the Aussies league.

Ironically enough the Giants best play-off run was in 2010 when they finished 5th.

Huddersfield have only ever won SL play-off fixtures when they've finished 5th.

Coincidentally the same year Leeds became the only team to finish 4th and not pull their pants down and bend over in week 1 vs 1st place.

It ought to be a cakewalk for Leeds this year according to those who believe it's easier to win from 4th than it is from 5th.

Not 'easier' from 4th, but certainly not the mission impossible it's been painted out to be by some.



Leeds will win the GF again regardless of position IF they're the best team come playoff time (like they've been the last 2 years much to quite a few posters annoyance.....even some of the Leeds 'fans') IF they aren't then they won't.



But now that it looks like Leeds won't finish 5th I'm wondering if you and others will rush to place bets on the team that does???



Hull KR for GF glory????......Go on people and be brave and stick to your guns and put money on them because of course as we've heard all 2 years, 5th can't fail!

Take no notice of Dick (sorry i mean William) only a team of champions will ever win it from fifth , and i doubt it will be done again for a long time
