I'd personally take this Mason Lino replacing Sezer at 7 & Renouf Atoni replacing Tetevano at 10. People might say we shouldn't be sighing players from Wakey but they are 2 overseas players who would definitely offer more than the 2 I'd have them replacing, I actually rate Lino as one of better halves we have in Super League & Atoni is a very good prop. Both Lino & Atoni off contract this year as well I believe.

That's the key starters in all 4 spine positions that need to be replaced. It wont happen though, perhaps we will replace two of them.

You're bang on with Leeming's decision making. Unfortunately there's a few others of whom the same could be said. When that's lacking, sides need to play well to win. Make the right calls and you'll win a fair few even when you're not.

Johnson's not the player he was, as he's lost a lot of speed. He's never been an organiser and tends to drift in and out of games a lot.

Like has been said, RS can't do much signing wise until next year.
Our Spine is looking poor atm. They will get better im sure and Smith/Gannon are doing good for their age/XP.

Sezer has been disappointing,at least Austin tries. Fus is another that's been poor last year and really needs a big year. Myler was always a stop gap,ZH left for the cash and snazzy shirt. The list of important positions of high quality we need to replace grows larger each year we are stuck in this cycle of "Rebuilding".

It’s definitely looking like a long term plan.. and it’s hugely frustrating to be yet again in a rebuilding phase but there’s no other way. We’re still paying the price of some woeful recruitment going back to around 2017 / 18

You look at how we've managed this transition from a golden era compared to Saints and the approaches have been polar opposites. They had that period under Cunningham but quickly threw sentiment out the window. Now you look at their team and they have quality throughout. Young home produced players making up the core, with top quality overseas signings who fit perfectly into the gameplan of the club. And they can nicely integrate that the up-and-coming academy players. Add in recruitment like Tee Ritson and there's not really much to fault with how they approach things. Ours on the other hand has been very slap dash without a clear approach. Despite all the talk of our DNA. And now we're still trying to structure the team and aren't near the top table again

The trouble is you can take none of this for granted. Saints were lucky to a degree to get Ben Barba. He was the spark for all of this. They’ve made some good calls, had good luck on injury front, but there are sooo many factors involved wit creating a winning team. Leeds has tried and our time will come again as some good young players pushing through again.
