It does leave us short if true. There is not a lot of NRL props available. It seemed hard enough to sign one we now need two minimum.

Perhaps because our main man is running 7 marathons in 7 days to raise money to support one of our heroes and therefore he’s a bit tied up at the minute.

What all this underlines is the importance of developing our own (and also recruiting) top British talent. NRL players, excellent though they generally are, will always have an eye on their homeland, hence they are always a gamble.

According to Wikipedia he's been sentenced for beating his girlfriend in the past. I'd prefer not to sign another player with this kind of history.

It also says that he avoided Jail time because the Judiciary were so impressed with the way he had turned around his life and had removed himself from the “cess pool” of the NRL...

I agree with you chirstophor he has made mistakes and I don't condone what he was convicted for in his past but if he's learnt from them and become a better person it shouldn't stop him earning a living

But mud sticks, as they say. Fans of other teams will point to Leeds, put two and two together, and come up with 20. It wasn't that long ago that GH was berating the Catalans for trying to sign Greg Bird (or was it Todd Carney?) for this kind of thing. I guess the difference at the time was that the player in question didn't seem to be showing remorse?

Zane Tetavano (The player whilst not considering his previous indiscretion) would be a fantastic signing IF true and especially if Ava is heading back home



He is definitely the type of quality player that we should be looking at signing
