In hindsight the play off game was lost in the first tackle when we lost Ava, if we were to win we needed to have both our starting props play big minutes. Turned out not to be the case and after 20 minutes, in reality the game was gone no matter what spirit we showed.
Still a lot of positives to take from the game and season. Still a couple of years of buiding to go before we are truley a front runner again but I have faith in the managment. Sinfield always said from his joining the off field staff that it was going to take time, he's barely had a year and that has been through exceptional circumstances too.
I've been a supporter at Leeds for long enough to have patience through some mid table mediocrity and lower, which is where we are now and probably next year at least too.
Have faith people and the good times will come back to HQ

My glass half full reading of Hetherington's season ticket rallying call is that we will get our "big prop" regardless, but we may have something available to spend mid season if things take an upturn financially. Personally I'm OK with that, but I will be dissspointed if we use the last quota spot on Thompson. Nothing against him as a player but I'd rather have a spot available to make a move mid season in whatever position, if the chance arises.

More government money should be coming RL's way apparently, so that may ease the burden, assuming it goes to SL

See an Aussie press report says that one of our ‘so called’ targets in Korbin Simms is/has signed a 3 year deal with Hull KR

We've undoubtedly taken our eye off the game in terms of recruitment and selection probably because we were spoilt for many years with a quality/settled squad.Its probably the case that we've over paid for some players just to ensure that we staid up.

Korbin SIms is no great shakes.

Tariq SIms would be amazing. Korbin not so much and certainly not marquee

Whoever we go for has to have genuine size and presence and a destructive force when on the field.
We are stacked with mobile (hard working) forwards who do a job at varying standards. Donaldson Mellor Sutcliffe × 2 cam Smith Thompson. We need a big unit who can intimidate and influence through their sheer size and physicality. Look at the impact on Oledski from Kasiano. When crowds are allowed when a genuine big man comes on and makes his first carry it ripples through the stadium. Also most

Kasiano should be the best prop in the game, but he plays like a pudding most of the time.

We have a core of a side who could have another decade in them; this is about incremental gains.

The game is changing too, it’s not as thuggish as it was and that’s not a bad thing (although I’d bring back the shoulder charge personally...).

We don’t want to game too sanitised, but at the same time fights breaking out every five minutes isn’t great either.
