On a similar theme, our highlights were a) prior to the match, the couple of hours at Stalybridge in the beer garden of the Q Bar and b) after the match, one of our number making it to the off-licence near the station and getting some beer for the journey home, and then making the earlier train so we made our last buses.

Highlight of the night was Hardaker's kick-off and the following couple of minutes, all downhill from that point. Hardaker had been given that role replacing Sinfield during 2015 yet oddly IMO lost it to Golding for a time in 2016 when both were on the field.

The other highlight was Warrington putting the queue on the rack and turning my 34 point margin prediction into a reality after Wigan let me down last week by two points.

It does seem like Golding was been earmarked for usurping the incumbent at FB (swapped onto the wing ...and bizzarely the left wing thus compelling another unnecessary positional change). Unfortunately he was found wanting. Sadly I am begining to see that our future 'golden generation' is fast becoming a figment of many (mine included) imaginations. At least we can look forward to more Leeds conurbation derbies.

I am now in the cue for wanting to see wholesale changes ...starting at the very top with our Teflon CEO.

Oh yeah that other type of cue. Didn't realise I'd done that.

Only hope for Golding is that he'd make a better half-back. His read to turn a three on three to a Warrington overlap for their opening try was the wrong move, Hardaker knew it.

The problem though is that as the 'senior players' return we are getting bloody worse not better.
