The only proven NRL coaches out of work at the moment are Geoff Toovey and Ivan Cleary. One of those will probably be taking the NZ Warriors job within a couple of week because they're underperforming even more than we are.

After that, you're into the realms of gambling on "promising assistants" who could be a Maguire or could be a Sandercock.

I would look in to getting Brian Smith in until the end of the season - not necessarily to replace McDermott, call him a consultant or whatever and McDermott can get kicked upstairs to save face. Smith's short, sharp shock would sort out this group, and whatever happened behind the scenes at Wakefield the man knows how to coach.

As a temporary solution until the end of the year that would give us time to source our next coach properly, rather than be stuck with whatever's available (like with Falloon)

Pray tell why Hardaker? Are you suggesting he is the root of all the present troubles?

Pre Super League, the past few weeks was the norm. Leeds will come good again...its just a little but frustrating at the moment, but it's sport. It happens.
On to next week.....☺

He may well fall on his own words! He very publicly declared a year last season that players performing badly was down to management in his very public dig at Koukash. Does anyone on here think Leeds players are performing well?

Like I said earlier, I doubt hardly anyone will agree.

If the club are to dig themselves out of the deep hole they are currently occupying, they can well do without the handicap of higher maintenance employees IMO.

Without being in the squad it's hard to say with any knowledge however I could see how a bad apple could effect the squad

Especially when they are under performing and well overrated.

No he didn't.

Koukash deserved a public dig. I'm disappointed more people in the sport didn't have a go and aren't now.

Kiyan wrote:

No. But then the scoreline wasn't 70-6 like last year.

Exactly.

High maintenance employees egotistically revel in team glory and success. They even contribute towards it.

OTOH, they don't generally deal very well with adversity and crisis.
