They are certainly showing their intent, and good luck to them. I suspect they are probably spending a good 500k extra on salaries in comparison to Leeds. The same probably goes for Wire and Saints. Up to us to make our next move in the transfer market a big one. If there is a race for Thompson we surely have the cash to win it.

Not an expert on the wigan squad but I would imagine they have plenty of youngish home grown players so they'll probably save money there.Plus, field hasn't any sort of nrl pedigree to his name so not sure he will be in massive money.

Indeed. Time we showed ours. Finances permitting of course. We certainly had plenty plenty spare before lockdown

Can't imagine there are many clubs in superleague who had more costs to consider during lockdown than us. That could realistically have an impact on spending over the off season

I can see us not getting anyone with Hetherington wanting to spend cheap due to the new stadium and using the CC as the excuse that the squad is good enough as is

Perhaps not an excuse though given the circumstances.Before lockdown we had that lad from wigan on loan and agar/sinfield had said we were willing to use marquee if the right player became available.Hopefiully that has not changed but I wouldn't be surprised if it had.I dont want to sound like a broken record but if our recruitment is good enough we dont necessarily have to break the bank to bring in a quality prop.
