Pretty frustrating to watch again. The ruck was a complete shambles, pushing, laying in the ruck, hands on the ball. Im talking both teams. The sport needs to sort the mess out asap. The 6 again rule is exactly what I thought it would be, nobody has a clue what its given for, no signal other than 6 again is given which seems a random thing to me. Could be for anything. Farce.
The ref was poor I thought. He shouldve binned Gale for holding the Hull player back and how he gave a drop out after Myler was moved in goal was a very poor call. His 10 metres was very inconsistent for both teams, some was 12m some was about 7m. He wasnt upto it but he wasnt good enough for either team.
The conditions particularly 2nd half was terrible which made the game even less of a spectacle.
Our attacking structure is awful, the 1st receiver is far too flat which means he catches it stood still and under pressure and we have no players out the back. We didnt use any inside balls and when we drop a player off the angle they run onto the ball is totally wrong. The passing is slow and weve no pace at all other than Handley who wont get much ball with Tom Briscoe as his centre. Some players, Koni and Martin, are not fit enough and dont do enough. I thought Martin did ok but not enough from him as usual.
Again the effort and commitment from the team was outstanding and bar a couple of individual misses defensively we was good, though Hull helped with the errors they made in the 2nd half.
I.would prefer Koni with Ash on the same side as Gale with Myler linking which would give us some strike on 1 edge at lesst. We are diluting our threat by splitting Koni amd Ash up.
The pack did its job and fronted up well but weve a lot to fix up. Hull took the few chances they got and we had enough field position to win 4 games but wasnt good enough to turn it into points.
The biggest thing tho is that fans are back. Fingers crossed we get increased crowds soon.

Agree with most of that as usual Marty. To be fair the ruck in RL has been bad for a long time. Rules drive behaviours so it needs improving somehow.
I think we need to be realistic as to where the club is at. Are we a top 4/6 side? Maybe with a consistent first team and good pre-season but we haven’t had that and we’re already playing catch-up again with one eye on the Big R.
Even though I suspect we need a new coaching set up at Leeds it’s hard to judge this year with the amount of disruption. Players coming back from injury are rarely 100% from week one and we’re just going to have to be patient.
If sone consolation we did get over the line a couple of times for disallowed tries hut again some sloppiness in the lead-ups. We keep kicking to Mellor abs Sutcliffe on the edges but neither are any good in the air, they’re just tall.
