I think they'd signed Passi in response to Thompson going. Graham has only retired today so I think they'll the room on their cap to Thompson a good offer to return. Desperate to be wrong though.

Agree with all if that. Centre has always bern Sutcliffe’s best position.
Just resigned Briscoe and Handley is up there with the best 2-3 wingers in the league, up near the top of the try scorers again this year. Paying a fee for Johnson just seems madness. Either of this props would be a great signing both would be the dogz.

How old is Fifita? He’s done a good stint in the NRL so unlikely to want to go back after a year or two which would be reassuring.

Saints have signed Sione Matatiua, adds more to the favour of us having a real dig at getting Thompson. The Johnstone link is a difficult one, his family want him to move to Leeds and the higher powers in Leeds like him. He is committed to Wakey but they need everything they can get. Personally I would steer clear. Might have something else later.

Aye, certainly helps our chase of Thompson - Saints making another NRL signing.

A healthy fifita is an outstanding player however he has a dodgy knee is in the top 3 paid props in the nrl and is contracted till end 2022. Ideally I think the sharks would like to move him on but he isn't coming to superleague

Saints signings so far are like for like with Paulo, Peyroux and Taia being replaced by J Thompson, Paasi and Mata’utia. Luke Thompson coming back would simply fit into the Graham/ L Thompson hole or a marquee spot. My understanding is less about money and whether he will be coming back or not.

Seems to be a good prop at Wigan that would go well for us.
Bloke called Singleton.
Anyone know anything about him.
Also watching the game yesterday I thought Goldings defence was spot on.
If only Walker had that skill and Mylers passing skills he would be some player.

Some short memories on here for Singleton. Same for Walker. He’s devastatingly good when fully fit and will only get better and better. He’s still very much a young player
