Tapau will have very big offers in the NRL - far more than any SL side could or would pay.

On Austin v Lolohea, Austin is a far higher profile player, and he actually gets picked most weeks unlike our star signing. However, Lolohea is in some ways a more natural 1/6 than Austin, in terms of setting up play. Austin's a runner who on his day is awesome (he should score a bucketful of tries next year). The real question is why didn't we try to sign both of them?

I don't understand why we didn't get Hastings for this season - he didn't want a deal for next year, and our need was at least as big as Salfords.

See Rollin Thunders post for the practical aspect. The problem with Leeds is that you have thought you were better than you are. Granted you won the SL last year a bit of a surprise I admit but the last 3 years the vast majority of time you have hardly been average in essence the type of players you think you have a right to sign don't sign for Leeds probably because of the state you are in. If your players do not pull their fingers out in the coming weeks the we are too good to be relegated may get a serious wake up call!

I don't think we've made a serious play for most of the players mentioned. Right now its more our lack of active pursuit than players not wanting to sign for us. Having said that, if we don't start to make some waves we could end up in a position where we'd have to pay a premium to join us.

That's the issue with changing the management structure (particularly bringing in some one like Sir Kev who has no management pedigree) and looking to change the squad at the same time - the management don't have the credibility to make promises for the future to potential signings.

We have to hope Sir Kev and GH can sell the Vision, and see where we are at the start of next season with (possibly) a new coach.

I bet if Austin had signed for us and lolohea had signed for warrington, you would be complaining why have we not signed him, some people just want to critisise and complain all the time

More fool Warrington i say, sandow one season big payout, cries homesick after one season, roberts the same, bet Austin does the same.

Griffin been sacked by Panthers, 4 games away from Grand Final. Didn't get on with board I dont think. Wonder if he fancies a stint with the Rhinos!!!
