I’d like to see Kent and Holding come in. Koch is pretty much done, He’s in the German squad again too which shows his class. I believe Phil Hay believes one loan signing to come in too.

I like both of them, but no way I'd let Costa (a player on the fringe of the Portuguese squad, with top level experience, and approaching his prime) go in exchange for a player whose coming from the Scottish league. It's not even championship standard these days. But he's got potential and can play anywhere along the attacking line, so I hope we get him.

I wouldn't sign holding permanently. His injury record isn't great, but he'd be good back up.

Very good signing. Could do with a midfielder or two, and that’ll do for a competitive squad without ever challenging in the top half.

Some strong links to Rodrigo De Paul today from a top journo in Italy who is very well connected. We’re seriously interested by all accounts. Phil Hay has given it the thumbs up as a story. Interesting to see where this goes. He’s very good apparently. Wing or attacking mid. Argentina international. 27. €30m price bracket

We're also in for a left sided centre half from Zagreb. Only 18, but looks a top prospect, and would be a good back up for Cooper. Josko Gvardiol

I’m guessing the “De Paul” bit is so we don’t get mixed up with the other Rodrigo
