I’d say that unless McLelland has a breakthrough season we should be going big one someone for Stand-off. I’d also like to have another speedster on the wing.

Then it would be icing the cake if someone became available.
For Stand off I would try and get Connor I just think he would work great with Gale. I doubt wing will be even on the agenda but if it was I do like Johnstone who I'm told would happily play for Leeds.

The side is on the up. The young lads should be getting better all the time. I really think Tet will be a good signing. He’ll have real responsibility as a pack leader at Leeds which I reckon he’ll thrive on. Exactly what Tommy and Mik need to see to help them kick on.

If fully fit, our pack is competitive with the top sides IMO.

Halves need to stay fit but both have skill. Both have a kicking game.

Back line - we have two current Dream Team players, a previous England international, and in Newman and Walker two potential future ones.

Are we the best side on paper? No. But next year....

Agree. And Walker gives us some xfactor and pace to that back line imo that’s why I’d pick him over Myler when fully fit everyday and twice on Sunday.

I think there’s a few rose tinted glasses going round!!
We can win it!!
No doubt Tetevano is a great signing, but we’ve lost Ava, Cuthbo, Crosby and Ward.
We’ve no idea yet how King will go.
Are we in better shape than last year?
Possibly.
Are we anywhere near Wigan and Saints?
No chance.
4th or 5th at best for me.
2-3 years if some of the young lads develop and a few good signings we may be in contention.
Some short memories of our last game being blown away by Catalans....

I wouldnt base much on the end of last season really it was a bit crazy amount of games we had to play but i agree with you. I think injury free we can compete.

Remains to be seen how Zane settles in, hopefully well. King is an unknown, could be a master stroke could be a Vickery, who knows.

Weve 2 very young props in Mik and Tommy both great but we need big minutes from both to help replace Ava.

No doubt our team is on the up again. Win it? Hmmm not so sure. Wigan have added a fast half in Field and a world class forward in Bateman and Saints remain the team to beat for me.

We will be a well coached team with some quality and good youngsters so it will be interesting to see but the 2 teams over the hill remain the top teams at moment for me.

Wire will be good, Catalans and Hull will be ok, Cas should be better than last year and it will be interesting to see how Ian Watson does at Hudds i think theyve made some good signings and could go well.

Agree.
Wigan, Saints top 2.
Wire third - they’ve made good signings. I think Inglis will do some damage.
Then I think it could be a good battle between us, Cats, Hudds, Hull and Cas for 4th.
Injuries and how new signings go will play a part at all clubs.

I may have missed them but i havent read anyone saying we'll win it.I think 3rd or 4th is realistic. We have a young squad who should be better this season.I think Tommy will go well now he's had his hand operated on.A lot will depend on how Tetevano settles its always a gamble but the odds should be in our favour.King who knows but he's a good age and on a one year contract i'm sure he'll be busting a gut to impress.

We were decimated by injuries end of last season, and other squads were pretty healthy. If we make top 4 (sick we c should with some to spare, then course we can win it. CC was probably the harder trophy to win lost year as season descended into a farce. I feel more confident then I have for a couple of years that we can do something again...

Field in at Wigan - Ok but can he defend? Looks lightweight to me and I’d be throwing bodies down his channel (so to speak). People look at highlights reels which only show a) best bits and b) going forward.

How anyone can mention Crosby as a loss, or Ward after last year, I don’t know. Cuthbo was past his best by a couple of years. Ava is a loss.

We got beaten up by Cats last year, literally. The ref allowed it and we were also shot with the schedule.

I don’t think the 2021 Leeds will be as easy to bully.

I am confident we will be better this year than last - yes it’s incremental, no we might not be top of the tree but people always struggle to see past the season just gone when predicting.

Field is the Aussie Ryan Hampshire, electric pace, but lacks the required skill set to elite.

That’s how I see it. Wigan team to beat next year. Very impressive squad and Bateman is a brilliant player. If I had a spare fiver it’d go on Wigan to be champs.

We’re in the teams battling it out for 5th and 3rd which will be close. We have a very average stand off and I still feel we’re a touch short outwide for xfactor players
