Ward was good, really put himself about in defence. He isn’t big enough to punch holes in heavy traffic.
Oledzki managed one dominant collision and I think that was about it from our pack tonight.
Bright points, thought Walker looked quite sharp at the back, Hurrell as expected will be a handful.
Merrin looks like he’ll be quality in what he does but I’m not yet convinced he was the right call for marquee. No point in signing him to play prop when we could have looked at a proper prop with marquee allowance instead.
