I guess we'll find out later today, but what worries me is that Furner hasn't take the opportunity to rubbish these reports directly, which he could have. Hetherington's comments sounded like he hasn't got the story "from the horse's mouth" either.
However I think Furner is an honourable type and it would leave a mess if he did the U-turn.
Who would run a rugby league club eh?
Side note: the NRL clearly has the highest standard of rugby league in the world - but they are a political shambles off the field, with a ridiculous amount of infighting and contractual shenanigans, players and coaches alike.
