Same source as I got Gale, Prior and Lui, big name prop coming from a super league club. TBA before the restart. That’s all I’ve got so far. I will keep pressing.

English player or an overseas SL player?

Trying to think of what ‘big name props’ there are/would be available?

Watts and Fafita spring to mind but no way would either of those clubs look to sell under ‘normal’ conditions so unless either of those clubs need a big transfer fee to keep afloat for this season I cannot think it being them?

Big rumours of Sutcliffe to Cas so maybe we are giving them Sutcliffe and cash for Watts? I’d jump at that but cannot see it happening

Putting 2+2 together could end up with 5 here but Wakefield players have just agreed salary cap reduction if there is a big name prop on way to us could it possibly be Andrew Fifita maybe he doesn't want a salary deduction and we have swooped in for him? He was linked with us last year as well before Furner got the boot. Wakey have agreed salary reduction with 30 or their 33 players bbc are reporting.

I don't see how we can cut player wages and then spend big on signing another player. Surely, that would affect the morale in the squad.

So we all know Leeds have a fairly rigid wage structure (call it levels A to F) and that there is a general reduction of, say, 15% agreed for next year. Presumably we would sign a top player on an A contract and for next year there would be a 15% reduction on that.

Trying to double guess financials are a bit of a waste of time, good banter perhaps, but pointless as none of us know.

I hope by big be we mean good player and not just a has been.

Good to see the club still looking forward though as there is a temptation to dwell on the present given how all consuming it can feel.

I really am so positive on how our squad is taking shape and the tough decisions being made.

Fifita is represented by Craig Harrison so would fit with what Harrison said on the full eighty podcast about us making 1 big signing.

Exciting to see what develps , both in regards of us possibly getting a good prop in and a sign we'r mabe not as hard up as GH suggests we are.

Does he say spend big? And what difference does it make? If the wages are in line with others it should have no effect on anything. We have to have a full squad and be good enough to challenge.
