Wasnt there mention of Sutcliffe to Cas? Reckon he'll be gone by the time we restart the season given it's been announced he's asked to leave now.

I would of thought putting a transfer request in under present conditions means that he has something nailed on. Would seem a bit silly otherwise as most clubs are trying to reduce costs and quite possibly playing staff too

Strange one to me is this. I’m surprised he’s done it at this stage.. I’m thinking he’s not happy at reduced wages and secondly that Cas would pay a fee as surely we would be demanding one.. I’m not overly liking this. We’re not exactly awash with strength in depth in my opinion

Has it actually been confirmed by the club that Liam Sutcliffe has asked to leave?

I’d actually be surprised if we insisted on a fee, given that it will significantly help our overall cost position and that he would most likely be replaced by Sam Walters.

Yes theres an interview with him on the website. Think its been coming for a while. Hes been messed around a little bit and ended up at Fev but ultimately he has never done the job well enough to secure a position


Always seems to do just about enough without ever grabbing games and trying to change them
Yeah he looked great in 2015 but 5 year ago is a long long time. I believe he has talent but doesnt apply it enough and maybe a change is needed for both parties.

A good squad player,

Not good enough in my opinion believed his own hype after promising start, always feel like he wants his own ball when playing. Won’t be particularly sad to see him go, offers very good utility but not a starter for me in a top side. Probably come back and bite our behind mind!!

I'm no big fan of Sutcliffe but if he leaves and Ward goes to Toronto that leaves us with 3 established second rowers. Martin, Mellor
and Donaldson. Does anyone know when Walters is due back from injury?
