Job jobbed, some great performances (TBriscoe, Hurrell, Leeming) still pretty indisciplined but did well not to get drawn into Salfords shithousery, all in all a good night

Given the pregame concerns with those unexpectedly missing glad to get that one done and with some decent showings. I have everything crossed that this squad will have a chance to look something like full strength with enough time left on the clock.

As McDermott would say we were a bit clunky.
To be expected with yet another 2 new halfback pairings one in each half.
Good but not consistent enough over the full 80.
Hopefully with a near full strength team and a spot in the top 6 we will give it a good go.
The worry is we don`t make the 6.

Saw MIk and Zane before the game, they looked in great nick so hopefully both back for FC.

Thought King went well again tonight. Runs hard and straight and whacks hard. He'll do. Don't know if it's just me but I thought Leeming was shocking at times. Find him frustratingly inconsistent. Gale needs to get his finger out and start playing. No point in having a captain who takes the field every other game. Anyway, grump over. Good win considering it was yet another weakened team.

Yeah, he would have got grilled in the NRL where the press are over the top and love the gossip. He did at least say hope to have 2 big boppers back which are mik and zane, I hope.
With Sutcliffe ruled out, whatever the Gale thing is needs sorting fast and he needs to get back and with game head on.

Agree about Leeming real rocks and diamonds but plenty of spirit. Not easy for him as he was playing as a pivot more than a hooker and with the likes of Luke Briscoe at prop/LF/middle they did well to stand up to their guys like Sebastian who ran in hard.

Good to get back to winning and a reasonable crowd in HQ, does anyone know the attendance figures? I would of guessed around 11-12k, a little disappointing as was expecting us to be 3/4 full last night.
I thought Leeming was pretty good last night and just about deserved Mom but there was no other obvious choice. Pleased with Newman in the first half although once he took a knock hardly saw him, hope he is OK coz that kid is going to be a superstar.
Slightly worried about Gale situation, McCllend did a job but I can't see him making the first team on a regular basis. Maybe he needs a run of games to show what he has got.
The future is bright at Headingley, have to give credit to management on getting us back on track. When Shinfield came in as DOR he said there wasn't going to be a quick fix and it would take a couple of years to get back on the rails. Probably some unavoidable things that have slowed it down still further but can definitely see silverware coming in the near future and if we can keep these upcoming kids together it may last a long time

Gale may have just been dropped because of poor performance. He's not been great this season, especially his kicking game, and perhaps they also didn't want him losing his head again, like he did in the last Salford game.
