I don`t think there`s any dispute over what GH did back then or what he has done in recent years.
But he also needs to move with the times as in some cases you can get stale and maybe rely too much on optimism and goodwill.
Eventually no matter what went on in the past supporters and players from other clubs will demand more and want to watch/play for a team that is progressing and developing it`s team.
Either that or they will go to a club to make more money regardless of the potential to win trophies.
What I`m saying is that the club in my opinion has got stale and lacking in how we play the game.
This has not happened overnight but has again imo been happening for a good couple of years or so now.
We are not recruiting players who will put bums on seats and we are opting to find the next Walmsley or Chris Hill.
We need at least 4 good players and one of those needs to be an exceptional signing or our brand new shiny stands will look pretty empty next year.
