But Donaldson won’t play the same role Smith would have done. He will do the JJB job. Smith would have done the one Sutcliffe is taking the place off.

Wouldnt of guessed that pack if i had ten go's. Dissapointed Cam Smith isnt in the 17, lad deserved his chance imo. Hopfuly Furners got it right, cant wait.

Sutcliffe must have it written in his contract that he plays every week. Terrible decision.

Guess we have to trust that Turner, as a second row, has seen something in Sutcliffe that us mere mortals haven't. In respect of Merrin it may be that the reduction in interchanges means the role of the prop is closer to that of the rest of the pack so starting position is largely immaterial?

Oh dear, this isn’t going well. Our forwards are getting run over and we are losing every collision, leading to a series of mistakes.

We need to front up much more, and show a bit more grit.

We've been hit by two terrible knock-on calls (Merein and Hurrell) which both should have been penalties, but we're getting done in the middle with Ward and Parcell particularly losing every collision. They'll also attack Watkins and Sutcliffe all day becauae Kallum unfortunately doesn't look ready. Konrad s good though.
