Considering he's been out injured for half this season is say it's still relevant in debating his quality. I'd also partly attribute our improved results to the return of Briscoe and Hall. As well as Handley and Luke Briscoe did for us in a terrible period, they have far less success and impact when returning the ball and starting our sets off.

Spot on. I think he's played very well since his return and been one of our best performers. In the last 4 league games before the split he made in metres

Vs Widnes - 126m
Vs Hull - 152m
Vs Wigan - 123m
Vs HKR - 141m

They are big numbers and not ones that we could get regularly out of Handley and definitely not Luke Briscoe even though both did OK for us when called upon. He also had 19 tackle busts in those 4 games, the opening 6 games of the season before injury he made only 4.

He can't be faulted for not scoring much as he doesn't get a sniff. Had he been on the right wing vs London he'd have the hat trick that Briscoe got.

I'm not particularly bothered by how many tries a player scores. That often depends on their role in the team and how the team itself works. If Joel Moon is scoring tries instead of Hall or if the ball is going to the right more because we have a threat in Watkins, or if we're scoring tries down the middle from inside balls or offloads then it really doesn't matter. If he wasn't doing anything else then it would be an issue, but his workrate (& quality of it) more than makes up for it.
I give huge credit to the back 3 of Hardaker, Hall & Briscoe, and the second row of Ablett, Delaney & Ward for last seasons success. Their outstanding work provided the platform for the likes of Aiton, Watkins, Cuthbertson and McGuire to run riot

True and why going back earlier in the season when people were arguing about which team had 'X' amount of injuries it can't always be judged by the number alone. The way we like to play its so important to have our first choice back 3 available for the work they do (and thus the extra work the forwards don't have to do). It's also why I'm good with Sutcliffe taking over the number 1 shirt because as a once touted loose forward he certainly is ok in the size/strength department to keep that up compared to the lightweight Ash Golding. You can also see it in Briscoe when he's fit and firing exactly what he gives us over BJB who didn't do much wrong but just a different type of winger.

I get the point about it doesn't matter who scores but considering we've played two Championship teams lately and scored nearly 20 tries, it's a bit strange that we haven't been able to give our left winger one single scoring opportunity in either of those games. We should at least be seeing some sort of effort in those particular games to be scoring/creating on both sides, it surely could only help going into the tougher games vs Salford, Hudds and Leigh.

There's also the simple question of having a very good finisher on the wing and not getting him the ball with half a yard close to the line reeking of inability to set up play at all well.

He is also very good in the air, but for some reason we barely ever go to Hall with cross field kicks, despite the fact he bullies the majority of his opponents.
Its almost as if we are embarrassed to resort to a 5th tackle cross field kick.

Said it before, Hall might as well go roam around the field in attack because the ball never gets to his wing with any space

Very true. Bobbie Goulding would have gone looking for Hall everytime with the attributes he has at his disposal.

This.

Im more confident in us scoring from 90 yards out from the opponents try line than 90cm.

Our last tackle options involve either dying with the ball on the last, a kick through that 99% is too far ahead/too strong or laughably short into a defender or knocking on/ giving away a penalty.

We are absolutely shocking close in, laughably so.

We have slightly improved with Chicko now being a danger close in.

In all my years of watching Leeds that has always been the case.
