If Rugby League Rocks, then Hull KR is its Soul.

Re: Ryan Bailey : Mon Aug 10, 2015 7:28 pm
Bailey let Hull KR down badly and his departure from us came at a time this season when we had a horrendous prop injury crisis. Most Rovers fans will be hoping he ends up on the scrapheap pretty soon rather than continue to steal a wage from any pro league club. He made a 30 minute appearance off the subs bench only.

Went to Cas but hasn't had a look in there recently. Horrendous liability now.

Really sad news...what exactly has he done? Or not done? It is surprising his career lasted as long as it did at Leeds it would seem. His go forward was always hopeless as a prop, but his defence, quick play the ball and bit of niggle could always be relied upon. Seems though he might have been 'found out' at Hull KR and latterly at Cas. He can't say he hasn't been given his fair share of opportunites.

Has Kirke been 'found out' at Wakefield too?

Good player! The shiftless good for nothing was allowed to steal a wage for too long. It's great to see props that run hard and straight.

He had a bunch of mates around him at Headingley to keep him on the straight and narrow, and a coaching and management team who understood and could deal with his foibles.

Once taken out of that environment, he's fallen apart because he's had to observe the same standards as everyone else at his new clubs. The motivation isn't there for him either I reckon, what else does he have to prove to anyone these days?

What you looking at?....Butt Head!!

Re: Ryan Bailey : Mon Aug 10, 2015 9:13 pm
Last time i saw him was for Cas in a TV game during the back end of the regular rounds but can't remember who it was against. He was on for about 10 minutes and looked a liability trying to play the enforcer, giving away a penalty and being warned for niggle before being hooked by Powell not to return.

It's a shame really.Although Bailey has had a very good career for which his medal collection will testify, you can't help but feel he could have achieved a whole lot more on a personal level if he had just knuckled down and got on with it rather than playing the pantomime villain.

Some guys never grow up it would seem. Maybe one day he will recognise how lucky he has been to be part of such a successful dynasty at Leeds with all the rewards that have come from it.

Expect to see him on a nightclub doorway somewhere in Leeds or the surrounding areas ......Just like Hock when Leigh finally realize that he is a liability! .......If your names not down, you're not coming in!

It's a shame how his career has spiralled down at an accelerating rate, but its hard to feel the guy has been hard done to. He has his medal collection and he has been the architect of his fall from grace. He has had opportunities many would have killed for and chosen to grasp fewer and fewer. I feel for those that have thrown him career lifelines only to be let down.

Well I'm not going to judge from the rumour mill or write him off or blow smoke-up his-arse.

I'll judge him on his rugby / field antics like always. Which doesn't take too long in 2015
