He's at least partly responsible but I can't help thinking he's been let down by both his CEO (for not providing him with the best squad the salary cap can buy) and the player's (for putting in a series of half-arsed performances recently, culminating in last night.)

Before the St Helens cup game McClennan's press release was all about winning the penalty count. They didn't then and last night it was the biggest failure in that department all season and it had some pretty stiff competition to overcome.
