In many respects, it's the problem that we will always have whilst the Super League, NRL and International game persist with different rules and interpretation of them.
We all know that the NRL style is a slower, more physical "wrestling" style. Try that in the Super League and you'll be getting stung on every set.
In the end, the referee didn't get an awful lot wrong IMO apart from the incident with Lee Smith (presumably he pulled him for a quick play the ball?). The disagreements that we see at WCC and international level stem from a difference in rule interpretation and playing style, not referee error.
