Apart from the WCC, 2005 was a very Warrington season for Leeds. We played some lovely rugby but lost all the games that really mattered. Hull should have never stopped us in the CC (some of the errors that day were really painful). The team was spent by the time we got to the GF, not helped by Bradford making use of the now illegal loophole to sign Adrian Morley for the play-offs. The previous game was funny though, if only because Jamie Lyon inspired Saints weren't quite good enough to beat us, their defeat encapsulated by their current coach playing full-back being out-paced by one of our forwards across the length of the field to score (Lauitiiti). I miss our rivalry with Bradford though.
