LRL reporting 14 teams from next term. IMG gradings to confirm top 12, with an "independent panel" to confirm the other 2. What could possibly go wrong?

I suspect the additional 2 teams will have to manage with minimum central funding, so the criteria for adding them to the league will be dependent on their willingness to fund it themselves.


They must have gotten some indication from Sky or other broadcasters that a 14 team comp will get them a better tv deal in 2027, because to rush this through so quickly seems madness.
