Agreed. When we signed ally hoping he would be the organiser / kicker that we craved and Croft would be the garnish. There's been some games when he's shown some flashes of brilliance but again in line with team its far too inconsistent. Weve brought him in to do a job and respectfully, hes not cutting it.
Why anyone one would think he would be the man to do all that i will never know , his history said not
Come on guys we are only 6 points from the leader's we have a mickey ball game next if all the really good teams have a bad day we will be back in touch again.
Apparently Sinfield didn't play for Halifax in their win over the weekend due to a hamstring - hopefully that's not serious.
Those saying that Jack should have played instead of Frawley - I was at the game and they spotted that channel all night and sent Hurrell through it. Jack Sinfield would have come out as a human swiss cheese covered in stud marks, and we'd have had the line busted even more than we did IMO. Frawley just about held him. Sinfield missed 12 tackles the previous week? His D isn't up to SL just yet.
Stats-wise we look terrible but the stats are an interlinked system. We make errors (just lack of skill or composure under pressure), then the impact is that we lose territory and possession. We're losing the energy battle most games because we cannot apply any pressure, which has a spiral effect and means that we're doing it way tougher than we should be. Missed tackles go up etc etc. but much of it boils down to the errors for me, which is why I fundamentally don't think the squad is good enough.
This is not new, and it's not even a RS thing - it's been like this for years.
I suspect RS will keep his job over the next 4 games at least, unless we get some more bad results against lower opposition. Over that time we should get Mom, Fus, Holroyd back which won't hurt. How long they stay back is another matter.
This season feels done. The only thing we can really do is focus on 2025 now and try to put in place an approach which will significantly improve us again. Said it before but we absolutely need quality signings over quantity, literally 2-3 additions but we're crying out for quality. Coach position will take care of itself.
Things aren't as catastrophic as many on here seem to think, but fixing things up is more than just a new head coach. There is zero guarantee a new coach is going to improve Leeds, we've been here before many times.
If I was being draconian, I'd allow a fair few players to leave and replace with a new prop or two, new second row, replacement for Frawley. I think Miller and Mom will make it through but Miller needs to be used correctly and Mom needs to get and stay fit.

Sensible post and not just another 'RS OUT' reaction. 15 errors, lost count of penalties, lost count of missed tackles, that's not down to coaching that's the players responsibility. Definitely need some more quality and perhaps a 'stronger' (for want of a better word), Captain. Cam may put his heart and soul on the line but doesn't seem able to marshall/direct the troops around the field like Sinfield/McGuire used to do. Ah well, we go again this week RTID !
I think this next game against Cas is a big one. They have their tails up and always raise for us; we're going to have to show we are serious and win the game.
I dunno there is some merit in the argument that some of RS's ways put players in the position to make errors but I do think it's overplayed on here because people simply don't like RS.
You're right about a lack of direction on the field, but this is why Frawley was brought in by Smith and I can't see him pushing the side about - which he actually did in the first few games. I think his confidence is shot.

Agreed, and cant blame him with some of the stick he gets ( me included to be honest) but I respect him enough as he pulls the shirt on and still goes out there
I do find it hard to accept some of the excuses for smith. I actually think on paper, we have a far better squad than McDermott had in 2018, when he was sacked after winning the GF the season before, so I wouldn’t say the roster is the issue.
Too many players are going backwards under smith, cam smith being case in point. Frawley was smiths choice, as was goudemand, who are not the players we need. Every single poster on here knew we were a prop short going into the season, but the coaching staff apparently knew otherwise.
For me it’s not even the losses that are bad. If there was good performances and exciting rugby, I’d be less worried. For me the rugby is utterly dire to watch, and we seem to be getting worse.
Case in point, we seem to run a play most weeks we play where we try to switch the play to make space around the ruck (it’s a play salford we’re exceptional at last season). Almost without exception, we have a player who gets in the way of the switch and completely kills it. Every time I just think what on earth are they doing in training.

Games against Cas , Hull and London should not be big games , They are all Garbage ! , if anyone considers them big games then that shows how far we have sunk .
The playing staff are not good enough , but the coaching is terrible and most of the team are now linked to R.S , he needs to go now . The next few games will just gloss over the problems and then we will be back to square one .
Injuries have hit us hard i admit that but come on performances were poor even before that and on Friday Saints had far more missing than us once Lees and Lomax had gone off.
Doing Nothing about the situation is a severe case of negligence .
